There was one song Slint wrote around the same time they wrote “Glenn,” called “Pam” (the names of Todd Brashear’s parents, natch). You can find it on a few of the circa 1989 bootlegs that are floating around out there. It’s much more similar to their Tweez sound and was rightly left off of Spiderland - it would have changed the whole mood of the record.
At any rate they did record it during the Spiderland sessions and I really, really, really hope it shows up on the rumored 20th Anniversary reissue (though the 20th anniversary is going to be over soon, and I haven’t heard a peep about the reissue since last year.)
