When I was in high school I was the biggest Rollins Band fan you would have ever met in your life. I had every album, every EP and CD single, nearly all the spoken word discs, multiple bootlegs, and all the books. They did a cover of “Ex-Lion Tamer” on Henrietta Collins and the Wife-Beating Child Haters, but 17-year-old me did not know it was a cover (I’m sure it was in the liner notes but I don’t remember that registering). I went many, many years thinking this was a Rollins Band song. Finally heard the Wire version about four years ago. FYI Wire version is better.
