Zammuto: F U C-3PO (my first impression was “ELO meets Sung Tongs/Feels-era Animal Collective; PS: Nick Zammuto’s new act has potential to be better than the Books)
White Fence: When There Is No Crowd (I’m kinda ambivalent to the other White Fence tracks I’ve heard but this one is really lovely)
Dave Davies: Do You Wish to Be a Man (no comment other than “duh”)
Woodpigeon: For Paolo (getting a heavy American Analog Set/Wooden Birds vibe, which is OK with me)
Lower Dens: Brains (thought at first it was going to be a cover of the Feelies’ “The Boy With The Perpetual Nervousness” but then it turned into something more like a Can-goes-indie thing. All of these references should make you want to hear this.)
Reparata and the Delrons: Boys and Girls (too good to be this short)
